Maria Regina

Hello friends! I'm Najel and I'm here to tell you about my school which is Maria Regina. So the school is basically in Semarang, and it's a Catholic school, but even so, students who are not Catholic may enter- like me! I'm a Moslem

Anyways, since I am in the eighth grade, I enter Maria Regina (aka Mare) like a year ago. I wasn't that good with new people, to be honest, so it made me quite uncomfortable for a few weeks. But even so, the teachers and upperclassmen there are pretty reliable since I have become what I am today (^_−)☆.

I particularly liked it in this school because one of the lessons are English- and we got 6 periods of English a week. 6 x 40 is 240, and that's 4 hours per week. And another reason is that the PE is indoor, I don't like being under the sun for too long since I get exhausted easily but I love PE, so this is really helpful to me.

I also think that the school had helped me improved my language skills a lot- we have Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia and even Bahasa Jawa here. There is even the (optional) Japanese ECA which I join. Scout is a must here, but it gets really fun, especially when we need to crack or solve a code.

The students also shares a strong bond with each other, somehow. I think that at least 2 (?) upperclassmen is friends with their underclassmen and that's a good thing since we are a community.

Although there is something I hate here- the canteen. It has good food, good price, good servings but the distance- oh my God, I can't even. For someone like me to walk down 3 flights of stairs every time I want a snack  and then going back up is really hard. I have breathing problems, you see... \( ;-; )\

But other than that, I really enjoy the environment here. The AC is cold and we have a projector so the lessons won't be too boring.
